Banner Year for the BCI Boys Soccer team
2007 was a banner year for the BCI Boys Soccer team.
The Mustangs opened the season by winning the Ontario High School Indoor soccer tournament held at the Ontario Soccer Center in Vaughan in February.
The team then distinguished itself by winning silver at the BCI Indoor Soccer Classic. The Mustangs continued their winning ways by capturing silver at the High School Futsal Tournament at RIM Park in Waterloo.
The team remained undefeated for the entire B.C.S.S.A.A. campaign. The Mustangs defeated Assumption College 7-1 to win the city championship. This was a record number of goals for a championship final in soccer.
The Mustangs did extremely well and finished first in the group stage at C.W.O.S.S.A.
The Mustangs lost the C.W.O.S.S.A championship match against Monsignor Doyle in the dying minutes of the match.
It is obvious that such an accomplishment required a group of skilled and dedicated players. Hearty congratulations go to our players:
