Special Olympics soccer team qualified ...

Brantford Special Olympics soccer team qualified for the Ontario Special Olympic games held in Sault Ste. Marie in August 2001.
They came fourth out of 8 teams, narrowly missing the bronze medal on a head to head loss of 1-0 while their goal average was superior to the Bronze medal winning team.

The team continues to practice every Monday evening 6 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. at Woodman Drive Community Centre. This program is open to all Special Olympic athletes who would like to play soccer.
